Event organizers on the benefits of rapid testing

Organizers with Bosco Fresh Fest, scheduled to take place in Moscow this summer, discovered just how much income they have lost due to pandemic-related event cancellations.

"Over the past six months, we estimate that the profits lost due to canceled or postponed events have reached between 8-10 million rubles before taxes," said Ilya Kusnirovich, CEO of the Esthetic Joys creative group and the director of Bosco Fresh Fest.

"We’ve definitely been able to cover salaries, royalties and some production expenses," the organizer explained. "We’ve also been able to optimize almost all of our direct costs."

According to Kusnirovich, Bosco Fresh Fest has been canceled for the second year in a row. "We also had to cancel our Evening of Esthetic Joys last December, in spite of our best efforts," he complained.

So far, the production company has posted their summer events: specifically, a cruise scheduled for August and the festival’s July birthday celebration.

Kusnirovich concluded that "mass vaccination" can save the event industry.

"It’s still a good idea to take a rapid test before any event. We held our "Big Water" cruise in May, and gave each guest an Avivir rapid test. Everyone was very gracious, and they understood that this was a necessary measure so that they could have the best time possible."
