"Our company's team is in the process of submitting a private initiative to build and equip an infectious disease department for one of the hospitals in the region. The financial model involves using no more than 50% of the state budget money at the signing stage," Avivir's press service said.

The infectious diseases building is expected to have a capacity of 25 beds and will include computer tomography, ultrasound and laboratory diagnosis units. The project is expected to be completed by 2024.

"Chukotka is one of the leaders in vaccination and ranks first in terms of the ratio of vaccinated with the first component to the total population of the region. Moreover, the region's leadership supports a high level of implementation of innovative solutions, also due to the specifics and remoteness of certain facilities, inaccessibility of a number of settlements, and conditions of the Far North," - Avivir explained the company’s interest in the region. The company's representatives also noted that the company intends to continue cooperation in the format of PPP projects

Avivir has been cooperating with the government of Chukotka since 2020. Earlier, the company sent specialized doctors to consult patients and improve qualifications of medical personnel in the region. It is expected that cardiologists, neurologists and an allergist-immunologist will conduct free consultations in hospitals in Anadyr, Bilibino, Ugolnye Kopey, Lavrentiya, Provideniya and Pevek.
