Avivir presented the first saliva-based rapid test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, developed in partnership with South Korean company BioZentech. The product allows for testing without any additional equipment, avoiding direct contact with a medical device that could accelerate the spread of the virus. The results are available within 15 minutes, with a level of precision comparable to PCR tests. SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen SALIVA is the first test kit in Russia intended for home use.

This test will let organizers resume mass gatherings, let people see their friends and relatives with ease, visit restaurants and cafes, and return to normal life, now that individuals can independently test themselves in order to protect their neighbors and loved ones. In the midst of a pandemic, individual responsibility for protecting personal health and the health of friends, colleagues and loved ones is the most important weapon in the fight against the spread of the virus.
